James Oswald (1710-69) was a prolific Scottish composer.  Born in Crail, Fife, he moved successively to Dunfermline, Edinburgh and London.  This is 18C music with a delightful Scottish lilt.  This Siciliana and Minuetto come from one of Twelve Serenatas for two violins and continuo.
