The Fagus Book of Voluntaries based on Plainsong Hymn Tunes

This is a collection of 25 short contemplative pieces taken from existing Fagus publications, presented in one convenient volume.

They are very suitable as introductory voluntaries. Some are for manuals only, and if there are pedal parts, they are simple.

The styles are very varied, and some are very straightforward. Even the more dissonant ones will sound very acceptable if registered with Strings, with or without Flute.

Some of the pieces will be specific to time or occasion and this is indicated at the beginning of each work.
